While spending time in the common room in my dorm building I realized the diversity of activities that people do in there. I sat in there doing work at one of the tables last night, and there were numerous others sitting at the tables around the common room who were also doing work. There is also a corner that has couches in it where about 10 peoples were sitting together and watching a movie on the television. Also, in the other corner of the room there was one person sitting on a chair who was skyping. From my time sitting in the common room I found that many people go here to do work at the tables, watch tv on the couches, or even do personal things on the chairs. However, when people are studying and need a quiet place they use the study room rather than the common room.
